The state of Fallout 4 mods is a bit of a mess right now, with the Bethesda Creation Kit finally going public and the future of how mods will be handled in game rather questionable.
However, we just can’t leave well enough alone, especially when it comes to improving on the rather bland and boring character creation menu. Why settle for ugly vanilla protagonists when you have awesome modders creating tools to glam up your avatar?
First up on my list of makeover mods today is the Unlock All Hairstyles at Game Start mod. Honestly, I would just rather have all the hair options up front, and not have to wait to discover all the little beauty magazines just to get the new styles. This simple mod allows you to choose any of the vanilla game hairstyles when making your new character, or redoing your character with the console showlooksmenu command.
Next up we have a companion mod for improving the washed out hair colors in the game and making them more colorful and better looking, Vibrant Hair Colors. Really Bethesda, you have to rely on modders for such a simple thing as making the hair in the game look a bit less yuck? Come on now.
Last in our list for this post of simple character appearance improvement mods, we have a comparison video of some of the available eye color mods in the game. All of them are really improvements over the vanilla eyes, but my favorite right now is Jester’s Vibrant Eyes.
